- Description: The Epiphone Les Paul Standard with plus top may be the best electric guitar in its price range. Two Alnico Classic humbucking pickups deliver big slabs of the fat, warm tones, transcontinental sustain, and deep, soulful distortion that made this guitar famous. Crafted with a solid mahogany body and flamed maple veneer over carved top, set mahogany neck with a slim-tapered neck profile, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, cream body and fingerboard binding, and chrome hardware. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece add more sustain and make string changing easier.
We hand select and personally test each guitar we receive. That's right we never let a guitar go out the door without testing it first. As a matter of fact each instrument is inspected 6 times to ensure quality. It is part of our commitment to our customers. We get our guitars from a national supplier of unowned and unplayed instruments. Due to minor imperfections or factory overstock, they are stamped used or 2nd on the back of the headstock. This stamp is to prevent unathorized warranty claims. This in no way affects the sound or playability of these fine instruments. As a matter of fact they are normally set up better this way as our distributor goes through each instrument before it leaves the factory
