Epiphone Les Paul

Up for sale is an Epiphone Les Paul Custom (black) guitar with upgrades and extras.

The Custom is the top of the line of Epiphone Les Pauls.

I completely overhauled this guitar a few years ago. I replaced the original gold Gibson 490R and 490T pickups with nickel Gibson Burstbucker 2 (neck) and Burstbucker 3 (bridge) hand-wound PAF (Patent Applied For) pickups. The Burstbucker 3 is the hottest pickup Gibson makes. This pair can give the warmest jazz rock sounds, or the hottest screaming classic rock solos. I also replaced all the original hardware with authentic Gibson parts. I replaced the tuning machines with nickel Grover (the brand Gibson uses on their Les Pauls) Tulip tuners, the gold bridge and stopbar with nickel Gibson Tune-o-matic bridge and nickel stopbar, the black pickup mounting rings and pickguard with creme Gibson pickup mounting rings and pickguard, as well as a creme Gibson pickup selector switchplate with gold writing, and the black knobs with gold Gibson Top Hat knobs. It's all been done to resemble the classic 1960's Slimneck Gibson Les Paul Standard. The Epiphone Les Paul Custom, however, has large block inlays instead of trapezoids, and the traditional "Split diamond" headstock inlay. I also added gold Dunlop Original Straploks.

The body of the guitar has a few blemishes, of which I included pictures. There is a spot near the knobs, and some scratches (from strumming with a pick) near the selector switch. The cosmetic condition of the guitar overall is about a 7.5 or 8/10, but the sound is absolutely unmatched.

The guitar also includes a stage stand and a locking fur-lined hardshell case with 2 keys, as well as a Dunlop tweed strap with gold push-button straplocks. Also, I will include the original gold hardware if you'd like for free (6 tuning heads, bridge, stopbar). If you don't want the extra hardware, I'll keep it. I will include a custom-made audiophile quality guitar cable from lavacable.com as well. It is a 10 foot Canare cable with gold-plated Neutrik connectors. One connector is Neutrik's "Silent" plug - it will not allow sound through the cable unless it's completely plugged in, so you won't get feedback from having the cable plugged in to the amp but not into a guitar.
