Epiphone Les Paul Custom 50th Anniversary 1952
Hello! This is a nice Epiphone Les Paul Custom, which I hate to have to sell. Acorrding to my research the serial number (#I04121144) means this LP Custom was made at Epi's Saein Musical Instrument CO. in Inchon, Korea in 2004. I've upgraded the tuners with Kluson Deluxe locking tuners and D'addario 10's string set (strings a few months old). I have had some experience with different brands of locking tuners and these are by far my favorites. Very smooth, precise and stay in tune extremely well! The pots are 500K, smooth and without crackle, and the Duncan pup wiring remains for coil splitting if someone would like to add that option at a later date. The guitar has also been upgraded with USA made Seymour Duncans in both the neck and bridge positions. I have absolutely no idea which models are in the guitar as they were installed (professionally I was told) before I bought the Epi, but they sound absolutely fantastic! Very hot yet not muddy! Through my Carvin Belair 212 they run the entire range from blues to very heavy, hard, distorted rock (low volume to high) beautifully. Also, the clean sounds are incredibly full, rich and sweet. It is a great looking, playing, feeling, and sounding guitar. It is one of the nicest guitars I have ever owned. That being said, when a guitar gets shipped it really might need a set-up to your personal taste when it arrives.
This guitar is as beautiful to look at as it is to play. The pictures make the guitar look almost black and the sunburst very orange. The dark colors are actually very deep/dark brown and the sunburst fade is much, much more golden and the Flamed Maple top over the Mahogany body is really nice. It is very pretty, in my opinion and that of anyone I know who has seen it in person. It has a 5-layer cream binding on the front/rear of the body and top of the headstock and single cream binding on the neck. The pickguard is also 5-layer B/W/B/W/B. All of the hardware, including the newly added Kluson tuners is gold plated. Some of the pictures make the guitar looks as though it has finish flaws. These are actually poorly done pictures and flash work. I did the best I could with what I have. Sorry. It is not a perfect guitar, though. This guitar has been played and there are some hazy/faint scratches on the finish and some pick marks on the pickguard. They were all unable to be picked up by my camera. I absolutely do not want to part with this Les Paul, but with my growing medical expenses I don't have much of a choice.
Hard case and Dulop Strap Locks are included with the sale of the guitar. Sale to lower 48 states only (not out of the country) and shipping with FedEx only and insurance is included in shipping. Local buyers can skip shipping cost and pick up guitar, but CONTACT ME FIRST to get the ok. I'm not driving halfway across the state to deliver. Immediate payment expected thru PayPal only and I will not accept echeck thru PayPal. I can't wait for the check to clear (and lose a percentage of the sale), so I will cancel the transaction. This guitar is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to cancel this auction early if it sells here in the Des Moines area of Iowa.
Lastly, there are no returns (I really think the buyer will love it anyway) so ask all questions before you bid. Also, please no questions about trades, changing shipping costs/forms or any form of sale beyond what I've offered. I'll block you and won't respond anyway. I'm tired of peoples scams, complaints and just plain meaness. I don't set costs, fedEx does.
Thanks and good luck!!!!
